Can you tell us a little bit about the work you have done during the span of your career?

Immersive mixing has opened many doors for me. I have had the privilege of working with some of the biggest artists in the music industry as well as historic records from my childhood. My favorite project to date was probably working on "Slow Jamz" by Kanye West, Twista, and Jamie Foxx. This was a record that I grew up listening to and being able to create an immersive experience of a record I grew up long was a dream come true. Huge thank you to Rawle & Twista for having me involved in that.

Another pivotal point in my career was getting the opportunity to do the immersive mix of "A Bar Song" by Shaboozey. This record was so much fun and I knew it was special as soon as I loaded the stems in and pressed play. Thanks to Sak Pace at Empire for letting me be a part of something so special.

How did you get started in the industry?

I grew up in a small town outside of Knoxville, TN. I had a deep love for music and the escape it can create, as we usually all do in this space. My friends and I would mess around with recording in high school. I had no idea I could make a career out of the engineering side but once I found this to be a possibility, I hit the ground running and have not looked back since.

When did you first discover Sound Particles products & what was your initial reaction when you tried them
?

My friend Rich Keller actually put me on to Sound Particles. He saw some of my automation moves in the renderer and suggested I take some time to check the company out. I remember putting the Energy Panner on some background vocals and being blown away by the options, quality, and ease of use.

Are there any pain points that Sound Particles products remove from your workflow & what is your favorite product?

Sound Particles cut my automation time down significantly. Panning moves that would take hours to program can be done in minutes. My favorite product would likely be the Energy Panner. The options feel endless. It sounds great on everything. I use it every day on immersive and stereo mixes. You all really hit the nail on the head with that one.

Do you have any words of advise for others who aspire to follow your career path?

The best advice I can give is to trust your instincts and take chances. All of the big moments in my career were from putting myself at some sort of risk. Fail forward.
